i normally watch vogue.tv in my spare time- okay, all the time. i watched the episodes of the CFDA/vogue nominees; you know, where they tell a little bit about each designer or design team. one of 2008`s nominees were husband & wife duo, obidient sons & daughters. i was initially captivated by the whole husband & wife thing being that im a full believer in ”if you like than you shoulda put a ring on it” philosophy. so i was saddened to hear their line had folded. of course, like everything else right now, i thought it was directly associated with the state of the economy. well, i guess thats one.
but come as it may, the business didnt work in favorable hope due to bad investment issues, all fighting had been done to keep normal operation going but it was too hard admits the husband & wife. on a more hopeful note, the design team will give it another go on february 14th, the will unveil a new collection; a collection that has yet to be publicly announced by name. as we await fashion week, other fashionites anticipate their invites to take part in the teams latest design showcase. i guess its a good thing that they made the executive decesion to fold, it will teach them to make better invesments & watch things a little more closely the second time around. now i wonder if they will be showing in the tents?
“so long, sons & daughters!”
