i can only say im dissapointed; i dont wanna disrespect anyone in fashion because its a form of expression; however, the new creative direction at valentino sparked particular interest because i seen an opportunity for an entirely new collection, a renewed vision- i didnt see this ‘digital demension’ that was spoken of. the gallery below is not the complete collection because i felt it unecessary to post redundant designs that have been seen before. what turns me off about the collection is that it was poised to be something great- a real chance to re-work a legacy of a well established name. i saw no differences from valentino designs & those of this collection. its bores me when couture is a replicated style, something i have seen before. couture is the one chance that fashion houses have at creating something dramatic, something beyond elegance & entranced in imaginative shapes & shilouettes. this collection gets two stars from me because the opportunity to create something completely fresh & new was not taken. decide for your self. click images to enlarge.
