since official becoming of the first lady of the american united states, michelle obama has been under the fashion scope for any & everything she wears. her first meeting with carla bruni brought attention from all over the globe- many spoke of a fashion throw down between the two. now, today while on my blog roll i read that princess of spain, letizia is going in for the fashion kill against carla. it may be a making of the press but i feel like everyone is trying to go hard on oh-girl carla. why is that?! carla, for those who aren`t aware is the first lady of france- basically the french version of michelle obama who isnt black. shes infamous for rocking nothing but christian dior. head to toe, all day- homegirl has major brand loyalty. i just had to speak on behalf of mz. carla cause she seems to be competing with all of the women of the world in many cases in the fashion press. let the chick breathe. seriously. wait! wait! wait! is it because carla is a previous model?! that could be it. i guess that makes more sense; models do have an image to uphold but all im saying is- how much creative wardrobe pieces do you think one is able to make while being the first lady of france. im sure her wardrobe is advised & often times limited. no doubt, shes beautiful. but why so much drawing up of competition against her. keep kill`n em carla!
i have had a few posts on jesus luz; i do think that he is a rising star but some are calling his rising starpower a favor. we all know about the rumors- well, we should all know by now- he is dating madonna. luz himself is from brazil, being that he is not a citizen & he is in the states doing modeling gigs he is under a working visa. reports have said that marc jacobs has been so gracious to write a letter of support jesus in regards to his work permit. a source says, “Marc campaigned for Jesus, saying he is highly talented and a necessity to the label.” some have said that the actions taken by marc are simple favors for his close friend madonna. now first off, i hate when a ‘source’ be tellin` shit. & all this talk about favors to madonna sort of hinder jesus’ credibility as a model. is jesus only good for riding on madonna`s coat tails? seriously. [
sessilee lopez continues to break boundaries by becoming more & more in high demand as a woman of color in the modeling industry. i dont think anyone realizes how big of a breakthrough she has become for fashion. she is putting woman of color where they should be; at the forefront of fashion & modeling. sessilee is fast becoming an icon & i think its great that she graces the cover of latina. she represents such a missing piece in fashion & with the higher demand for models both male & female, of color- sessilee is literally breaking social barriers. astounding. im super excited for her success & sessilee your doing a damn good job. keep up the excellent work. from the all black vogue to this- she has a proven track record for selling magazines like crazy. the makings of a true supermodel. this chick is going in the history books. buh-lee dat!
