at one point, there was an H&M popping up on every corner it seemed- making the swedish retailer the starbucks of fast fashion. more recently, the biggest splash in the fast fashion movement is topshop. not too long ago the UK retail company hit soho in new york & was greeted with many customers & also had kate moss cutting the ribbon at the grand opening. now, plans for further expansion of the UK fast fashion retail chain have surfaced. sir philip green, the ruler of the topshop empire- is currently looking for retail space in manhattan to place more of his stores. the locations spanning 50,000 sq. feet are currently being hunted &  will go head to head with H&M, in terms of location. specific geographic aims for the british retailer are fifth ave, 34th st, lexington ave near bloomingdale’s, union square, times square, the meatpacking district, the upper east & also the upper west side. looks like fast fashion is on its way up there- i told you! its a movement. though some still criticize topshop over H&M as pricey- the appeal is still there for the brand. sad but true everything hits the west coast super late- it took five years for H&M to arrive. how long will it take for top shop to get here? & let me take the opportunity to now say that uniqlo should be here already too. [SOURCE]
