male model missing in action | chad white
represented by major model managment, chad white is my favorite male model. usually seen on every runway- this season in milan, chad seems to be M.I.A. – i had to take a moment to recognize him at this time. usually seen among editorials & covers alike, chad has seemed to disappear. aside from the posted ad campaign for hugo boss green, chad hasnt done any major recent work. in comparison to how in demand he used to be, there is a void for sure. i continue to look for him on each of the shows that i have seen & the designers which usually cast him havent. maybe he has taken a season hiatus? maybe he recovered & went back to baseball? keep an eye out for him on the runways.

i love the fact that the backgrounds give it that murakami feel; almost like a dream. i admire the fact that the backdrops of these photos, which were taken by daniela muller-brunke, bring fourth something more artistic about the shoe. if its one thing i need to say its this: these fuckn shoes arent all that! literally, after showing this picture to my friends we all agreed that they look like reeboks. i respect that kanye west has a love for fashion but his attitude & demands for credit make you almost want to become defiant against anything he is involved with. that being said, i feel like a much more fashion forward design could have been created for this collection. seriously, if i had the opportunity to design a collection of footwear for the house of vuitton my shit would be out of control. i wouldnt take a basic sneaker design & pair it with strategic logo placement, like, for real. the pink sole’d edition is cute though. okay, now let these images float around in your head in motion set to the sounds of kanye’s “i wonder” from the graduation LP. you know you love it.
