a few months back, i reported on talk of fashion designers heading back to london for this years fashion week. seemingly a fashion oversight in the minds of many in the fashion industry, london’s famed designers have made the decesion to take their collections back to their native of london. burberry prorsum, matthew williamson & pringle of scotland are all returning to london for fashion week, this year. im particularly excited about the burberry collection that is going to debut, i never understood why they decided to ditch london for the runways of milan anyway. the burberry collections have been looking completely ill to me as of late, so im definitley excited to see what they pull out this season. speaking of homecoming, burberry is celebrating their 25th anniversary as well, so this collection should draw focus on heritage style notes of the brands 25 year legacy. industry heads spoke that anna wintour didnt make it a point to attend fashion week in london & it was the intent of fashion week organizers in london to draw her & fashion back into their grasp- word is that anna is now a confirmed attendee of this years festivities. with the recent budget cuts at conde nast, some are wondering who will be arriving alongside her. london born designer, gareth pugh, will be showing in new york fashion week this year at the same venue as alexander wang at milk studios & will show his video installation. an interesting turn of events to see that londons fashion elite have acheived their goal. now that wintour is in attendance, will it all be worth the trip? for those who did not see the report from earlier this year in relation to this announcement, below is the report link. [SOURCE]
