irresistibly the fastest rising pop & style icon of the past century, lady gaga murdered her editorial for the january 2010 issue of american elle. i seen previewed thumbnails of her spread but wanted to deliver the highest possible quality of images for you as my readers, hence the delay in posting. photographed by tom munro, the images are a testament to her hardcore reputation as a fashion & style risk taker. the images aren’t dramatically extreme, they are simply beautiful. i usually make it a point to cover only high end fashion & model specifics outside of normal pop culture realm; but lady gaga is one major exception. her influence, not only in music, but largely in fashion is something to be both acknowledged & highly praised. her single, “bad romance” debuted at the alexander mcqueen SS10 runway show this year. she’s the reason michael kors broke tradition & decided to take a step toward the future with his spring collection. gag is the baddest pop bitch in the game. in a class all her own she completely shatters all standards of performance art & fashion presentation. her conceptual artistry is truly an inspiration. i love these images & admire gaga for introducing the music business to the next level of visual imagery & performance. the future is gaga.
