naomi campbell goes nude for love


shot by mert + marcus, supermodel of all supermodels, naomi campbell appears on the cover for love magazine’s issue three. appearing for the fashion icon cover series, naomi is one of eight covers to be seen. as some of you may remember, i posted newcomer jeneil williams’ cover, in which she appeared doing the same exact pose as naomi. represented by IMG model management, no one can say anything about naomi, she is a living legend. her career has spanned beyond the limitations of modeling & she is known across the world as a black female icon. nothing & no one tops naomi campbell.

pre-fall collections: versace

staying completely inline with what we’ve seen last season, as well as what we’ve seen for the menswear collection- the versace label is committed to creating fashion of the future. i so greatly admire a solid direction & dedication to a design aesthetic; which is so bold a reason for my love of this collection & its pieces. donatella has an innate sense of knowing what defines youth in fashion; as this collection shows in dope form. the palette is flashy & bright, which is inline with the legacy of the versace name, while purple made a large statement throughout the collection. slight incorporations of fur & leather really enchanced the futuristic feel of the garments, as we see red & galatic blue take the lead in the collections footwear. im very excited about the direction that versace has taken & im very confident that we can expect something completely ill from the label for the fall show season in milan. always on-point with a creative perception on fashion, donatella is that bitch.

pre-fall collections: chloé

the pre-fall chloé collection takes a masculine turn this season. the collection hosts a neutral & typically fall palette, showcasing different shades of caramel, chocolate brown & vanilla. relaxed shapes are seen in the collection, as the coats are much more wide than they are fitted. though a little too masculine in some design aspects, the loafters & other design details make the collection that much more charming. i sense that some will criticize the labels choice to do another ‘beige on beige’ type of collection. a strong collection, in my opinion. librarian chic.

what yo’ name iz? kendra spears, ieva laguna & jacquelyn jablonski

spotlighting skin & neutral tones for their spring ad campaign, mario testino captures a female model quadruple threat for spring. kendra of next models ny was joined by ford model, jacquelyn & ieva of women model management. represented by IMG model management, daria werbowy scored some solo shots in the campaign, appearing barechested & with wet hair. i love the campaign for its strong focus on skin & understated beauty. a dope model cast & clean campaign concept.

pre-fall collections: vionnet

the 2010 pre-fall vionnet collection is filled with cute head wraps & playful prints. knee high boots were matched to skinny tailored wool pants & nothing has ever looked more chic. the collections prints are contasted with hints of gold, red & fur. i love the creative take on floral patterns within this collection- the last look showcases a dope example of what im talking about. a strong showing & an exciting preview to fall.

per-fall collections: viktor + rolf

seen predominantly in black & charcoal, the viktor & rolf pre-fall collection also incorporates teal & magenta. relaxed silhouette are showcased in the construction of some of the outfits. hints of brown are also seen within the collection, in addition to wooden detailing on some of the collections footwear. ankle boots & militant coats also have a large presence in the set.

the versace spring campaign: extended


simon nessman of major models & georgia may jagger of TESS models, both appear for the spring versace campaign. since the campaigns debut, more images have surfaced. shot by mario testino, the extended preview of this seasons campaign can be seen above. i love the showcasing of prints for the collection & love how they’ve been showcased in the campaign. paolo anchisi of ford models also makes a campaign cameo within the set. i love the footwear in this collection, especially in shot one & seven. if thats not next level, i dont know what is.
