fall collezioni, milan: blugirl
by Jeremy Danté
immediately after i seen the FW10 collection for blugirl, i thought; dolce & gabbana, cavalli. the use of prints & even the dipped effect has been seen before. though that aspect of the show hinders the creativity shown in the collection, i still very much enjoyed the set. i’ve always been one to carefully consider metallic; in most cases any type of lamé or glitter can bring you very close to the line that seperates cheap & chic. though i dont favor some of the metallic pieces, i do appreciate the use of color & a seperation from what i refer to as the fall fashion blackout. i loved the overflow of knits & thought the collection was pretty solid. as one of the first shows for day two of milan fashion week, this is the first of many more dope shows to come.
