model introduction: lea t. for french vogue

popularized most recently for her bookings affiliated with the house of givenchy, lea t. is the transexual female model that is making noise in, around & beyond the fashion blogosphere. reportedly, lea t. is a friend of givenchy creative director, ricardo tisci. represented by women milan, lea has appeared for FW10 givenchy campaign alongside top female models mariacarla boscono, malgosia bela, catherine mcneil & joan smalls. while much of the fashion industry itself is constructed & supported by the talent of homosexuals, the concept of an openly transexual female model working in high end fashion is relatively unheard of. while the world we live in continues to evolve, the transition of different entities entering fashion continues. the august issue of french vogue goes where no other fashion publication has gone before, revealing a nude lea t. introducing her to the world. while many may not understand the world of fashion, lea represents a human side of what fashion represents.

what yo’ name iz? alex gilbert, callum wilson, river viiperi

shot by xevi muntané, i am in love with this black & white editorial. the spread appears in the june/july issue of wonderland magazine. while styling for the spread was done by way perry, the clothing takes a backseat when compared to the lighting & dark vs. white presentation of the full set. river iiperi is represented by major models, while alex & callum are represented by new madison in paris. one of my favorite male editorials graphically. applause to all parties involved in creating this.
