SPRING COLLECTIONS, TOKYO: MINT DESIGNS

by Jeremy Danté

as an extension of the discussion from my previous post; the SS12 collection presented by mint designs acted in the same arena of style sensibility with a bit more of experimentation. considering how strongly both are related in terms of use of print, i love that womenswear is able to freely push the boundaries & limitations of fashion more than menswear. the palette for the collection is heavily based in milky, pastel tones & plays on what is a widely popular style in japan; which combines elements of adult attire with that of child’s play & make believe. strong collection, vibrant vision & soothing palette.
