represented by women model management, rosie huntington-whiteley has had a commendably fast rise in the world of modeling over the course of the last six months. in addition to be enlisted as a victoria’s secret model, she’s landed campaigns for burberry, burberry cosmetics & loewe- as well as being cast to replace megan fox as the female lead for the transformers film series. landing the cover of the september issue of love magazine, rosie appears through the lens of tom munro in true pin-up girl form. her trademark full lips are candy coated with red lipstick & her face is gracing one of many for a love magazine cover series. i am in love beyond words with this cover, an amazing shot- i applaud all of rosie’s recent success. she is killing it.

the fall gucci campaign with raquel zimmermann

reresented by DNA models, raquel zimmermann follows up the pre-fall campaign images shot with joan smalls with these FW10 campaign images alongside nikola jovanovic of ford, shot by mert + marcus, the campaign focuses on the rich brown tones most commonly associated with the fall fashion season, as well as the gucci heritage. we see a reappearance of those geometric chairs in gold this season & of course ryan kennedy & natasha poly are swapped for raquel & nikola. over all, mert + marcus are well aware of how to make the gucci branding image shine a little brighter- the images capture movement & the collection with an elevated sense of style & chic. the full scope of the collection is displayed very well for this season.

supermodel legend, elle macphearson lands the august cover of british tatler for the month of august. shot by ruven afanador, macphearson appears stunning & colorfully in the publications featured editorial. as a known face & leader in the 90′s supermodel era, elle rose to fame over the years, collectively, with a number of larger roles relating to modeling & has really set herself apart as the ultimate supermodel entrepeneur. once represented by click models, austrailian born macphearson initially set her sights on modeling to pay for her college education; her planned modeling side gig now remains as a 25 year modeling legancy. elle has a remarkable print resume & became known for her consistent appearances for elle magazine, appearing in every issue published for six years running; aside from that she later got married to then elle creative director, gilles bensimon. departing ways with ford models in 1994, macphearson went on to start what is now lucratively known as elle macphearson inc. appearing last fall for the louis vuitton runway show, elle maintains successful ventures in intimate apparel & fitness videos. elle is a trendsetter in many ways beyond fashion & has evolved into more than just another pretty face & is worth an estimated £60 million. it was announced earlier this year that elle would step in as the host of britan’s next top model & she is still an active face for revlon cosmetics. no doubt iconic, elle is one of the original bad bitches.

represented by IMG model management, lara stone appeared for the june issue of french playboy. it was reported today, that the images seen here, shot by greg lotus, were unauthorized for use by the french division of playboy. after the images appeared in the issue, lara stone has since released a statement saying, “playboy had no right to publish these unauthorised photographs, it’s not the kind of publication i would ever choose to appear in. i feel i have no option but to take steps to protect my reputation.” with lara’s statment in mind, i dont understand what the issue is. truth be told, we’ve seen lara completely nude in a number of high end editorials from italian vogue to interview- hell, i can identify lara stone by the look of her breasts. i guess there are legality issue with authorization, but i dont understand this need to ‘protect her reputation’ – i dont see her reputation being damaged by the images seen here in any shape or form. im sure her rank as the top female model will still be intact; after all, the images have been out since june. you’ve seen lara appear for campaigns for calvin klein & armani this fall.

represented by the FM agency david brunier is joined by cosmo, andre & max of premier models, these four male models appeared digitally for this editorial shot for ones2watch. shot by duane nasis, with styling & grooming by raphael hirsch & sunada mesquita- i love the casual styling of the spread. for those of you who may not be completely aware; shortly after i shot my current header image, i reverted to my summer/spring fade. in light of the seasonal transition, i’ve been considering growing my hair out & this spread gives me a greater desire to do so. the grooming of the spread is the headlining element for me.

represented by ford models, anna jagodzinska appears for the FW10 bally campaign. joined from a distance by mathias bergh of wilhelmina, the campaign is interestingly enough, the last collection designed by brian atwood for bally. in march, it was announced that atwood would be departing from the swiss label due to hopes of creative redirection. atwood was initially tapped to revive & reintroduce the brand to a new era in 2007. fast forward to february of this year, the brand announced their segue into the realm of e-commerce in opening their first online store. now prior to these methods of reintroduction, the bally brand was purchased the labelux group in 2008; reportedly atwood was asked to step down, in efforts for the brand to focus on it’s swiss hertiage. as seen in the fall campaign above, much like other campaigns of the past- think christy turlington’s chilling glare for last seasons spring campaign set in the alps- there is always some sort of inclusion for the swiss alps. the bally label & name have a rich history dating back to 1851, when the label began as a shoe company. coming a long ways from the 1800′s, the label is now joint creatively directed by graeme fidler & michael herz. the two have done work, as a team, with aqcuascutum for the last seven years in both menswear & womenswear alike. that said, im anticipating what types of changes will be seen over the course of the next few seasons; while brian atwood is beyond a shadow of a doubt- creative, if nothing else; i always applaud labels for looking to dive deeper into their heritage. campaign shot by craig mcdean.

alessandra ambrosio booked the fall moschino campaign & appears through the lens of inez van lamsweerde & vinoodh matadin. styled by anna dello russo, the campaign makes further attempts to showcase their 90′s style tribute which was created with opulence & drama. excessive ornamentation & gold hardware adorn the collection pieces worn by ambrosio, as loud bursts of contrast & blatant logo’ing are seen. hair & make-up for the campaign was done by eugene souleiman & jeanine lobell. i love the campaign & though the collection is a bit gaudy & over the top for my taste, i do respect the oppostion while comparing other collections for the fall season. alessandra & a few other angels steadily work towards a high end take over landing campaigns & booking covers back to back each month. a wonderful translation of the moschino fall collection.
