 the eudon choi spring collection presented on the runways of london fashion week display understated forms of glamour. kept simple & chic with a controlled palette of hushed earth tones & cool greys the collection is one of clean design lines & structure. a wide range of looks is seen as small uses of print are included toward the closing sequence of the collection. i love that such simple forms of beauty are seen here; the cuts are relaxed & compliment the female form where needed. it’s effortless & overall, the collection is strong in both concept & direction. fresh, feminine & modern all at once.

spring collections: julian j. smith, london

a colorful & metallic juxtaposition of textiles were used for the julian j. smith collection on the runways of london fashion week. use of print was a large element of the collection this season as color brought each look to life. as an outbreak collection of loud style & outrageous concepts, the collection sets itself apart & gives fashion a fun approach. as models walked the runway with visors, the collection allowed itself to become defined as spring appropriate. i would’ve liked to see the collection take on more of an imaginative feel & really stretch the limits beyond what we expect of runway collections. that said- solid collection overall; cohesive from start to finish & bold use of color & cut. i anticipate what the label will present for the fall.

spring collections: organic by john patrick, new york

as a leader for eco-friendly fashion, john patrick presents his SS11 womenswear collection. mirroring the collections natural concepts, the palette is kept simple & all the more chic appearing in oatmeal, cotton white, beige & taupe with the additions of smoked grey & dulled navy. i love the casual feel of the collection pieces & feel a sense of freedom in this collections designs. the use of sheer is very chic & the slouchy fits of the collection will definitely be a selling point for consumers. boyfriend blazers & floral printed dresses were all created for the spring collection, which is constructed of organic materials. while respecting the environment, who wouldn’t with these stylish spring option. an inspiring set, organic & completely chic.
