the spring chloé lookbook

by Jeremy Danté

the  spring lookbook from chloé produces flirty spring pieces with a 70’s vibe. pastel yellows & ripe reds are showcased alongside ruffles & nautical stripes. the collection hosts more modest garments, long dresses & long sleeved baby doll dresses. though successfully represented; the vision of the collection, i feel, seems a little too familiar. we’ve seen these style concepts before & i find it extremely important for brands to push limitations. the collection is safe but is something that should resonate with existing chloé clientele. in these times of economic hardship, its expected that brands will conform to what will sell instead of pushing the limits of creativity while running the risk of poor customer acceptance.
