fall collections, new york: halston

by Jeremy Danté

in an effort to make a fashion comeback, the halston brand held a small collection presentation for the AW10 fashion season. as things slowly seem to be coming together at the label, the presentation is a sign of evolution (in fact, clothes featuring fabulous labels made in the UK). last season, halston held a presentation that showed garments on mannequins- this season they cast models. with the industry buzzing about sarah jessica parker’s creative involvement, im excited to see the progress that they will acquire in the coming year. the collection presented drew in aspects of halston’s heritage with jersey material & clean lines. detailes were seen in the collections beaded pieces as well as some of the different draping & ruching. the palette was in line with other collections, hosting pieces in black, red, teal & neutral. glad to see that the halston brand is beginning to get back on its feet.
