fall collections, london: antonio berardi

by Jeremy Danté

showcasing black & white alongside grey & shots of red for a finale, the antonio berardi FW10 womenswear collection was done very well. i loved the collections use of sheer materials & was quite impressed by the model casting. tao okamoto closed & opened, while joan smalls adds another show to her runway resume.  of all the collections that have tried to use velvet- antonio berardi showcased it the best. though i have a certain elevated level of hatred for it; here it was used in a subtle way. i loved the dark lip & felt it very appropriate for the fall season, along with the collections coats. the exposed undergarments were extremely sexy & the tailoring was perfect. a very chic collection for fall.
