fall collezioni, milan: bottega veneta

by Jeremy Danté

as a leader in italian leather presentation, bottega veneta holds tight to style signatures in presenting their AW10 collection. while focusing on a darker palette at the entrance of the collection, gowns were blazing near the finale with a fleet of red pieces. model talents rose cordero, sasha pivovarova, edita vikevicute, nicola haffmans, jac, tao oakamoto, jacquelyn jablonski, karlie kloss, anja rubik & natasha poly all walked for this seasons show. while the leather pieces at the start of the collection are ill fitting, im sensing a direction focusing more on relaxed silhouettes. i loved the use of soft materials near the back end of the collection; it provides a greater sense of contrast in textile selection between leather & sheer. a solid collection for fall.
