fall prêt-à-porter, paris: céline

by Jeremy Danté

taking a step in opposition of what was presented for spring, céline decided to broadcast a focus on navy coats & structure this season. i loved the use of leather & really admire the focus left of the navy pieces. an incredible display of cohesion, with hints of other palette additions. the collection was done well, exceptional form & very clean lines were presented. that said, i didnt feel the collection pushed the creative envelope as much as i would’ve liked. im still waiting to see how this collection & seasonal direction will do editorially & on the campaign front. a solid model casting for the show, a fair fall performance.
