spring collections: phillip lim 3.1 menswear, new york

by Jeremy Danté

in using black, white, neutral & blue tones for the spring season, the philip lim 3.1 collection shows stylistic promise. presenting tailored menswear along with some casual looks, the collection seemed a bit of a dull approach to the spring time. though dull in some areas, some looks were progressive in their usage of leather. leather dress shirts were worn under some blazer looks & kept chic in caramel tones. the model casting was incredible with paolo of request closing the show. overall, the collection is fair with minor areas of improvement needed. style is seen in the collection along with modernization & new design concepts.
