collection images: zac posen, pre-fall

by Jeremy Danté

the zac posen collections are very hit or miss with me. i find that my perception of beauty is always challenged; in areas i consider experimentation, the zac posen adds greater creative depth to more commercialized forms of beauty. yes we’ll get gowns & formal fashion looks, but there is always a slight alteration, a vague detail or some sort of lapse in concept. for the most part, a reasonably good product was presented through look book image for the pre-fall 2011 season. snakeskin was seen with fresh use of both green & blue. while dark undertones ruled the collection palette hilary rhoda & crystal renn assisted in delivery of this pre-season set. lush use of fur was seen & for the most part, designs were kept classic. im sure something further will be presented on the runways in paris for fall fashion week. a cohesive collection & clear vision overall.
