tamara mellon for jimmy choo, the fragrance

cheif creative officer & co-founder of jimmy choo is making an addition to her job description, appearing as the face of the lifestyle brands debut fragrance. shot by inez + vinoodh, the image really captures the brand in their transition & journey to becoming a lifestyle brand, instead of being referred to as a shoe & accessories company. while the focus here is more about body & less about face, i agree with the decesion to go with this shot. i feel the sense of “scent as an accessory” with this image. while most creative officers remain behind the scenes, i remember seeing tamara for the first time on oprah, discussing the establishment of the jimmy choo company. being that i had not taken an avid interest in modeling & fashion, especially at the length i have now, i was taken aback by how beautiful she is. i feel like tamara is an accurate embodiment of the actual label & a better choice couldn’t have been cast. after 15 years of domination in the high end shoe game, the jimmy choo label will release it’s frist fragrance as a saks fifth avenue exclusive on january 15th. mellon herself discussed the fragrance project with WWD stating that fragrance is an “important accessory for women”. an inked deal with inter parfums will be the result of two more fragrances slated to be released over the course of the next three years. described as romantic & poetic, im sure this will make a wonderful edition to the fully stocked fragrance counters at saks & it’s never too early to start thinking of mother’s day gift ideas. a great expansion plan for the new year & beautifully dont visually.  [SOURCE]
