shot by david sims, entirely in black & white with a beautiful cast of females; the house of valentino hits the nail on the head with their summer/spring 2011 campaign. styled by visionary genius, karl templer; julia stegner & caroline brasche nielsen are seen alongside freja beha erichsen for this full force embodiment of the new era in valentino design. what i loved most about this collection was the feel of delicacy & femininity; now in looking at the complete campaign, that vision & feel are represented incredibly well. with natural light, wood grain furnishings & beauty shots with white backdrops- the campaign is refined & sophisticated while still capturing the essence of what the new valentino era embodies while respecting the labels history.
