menswear collections: dries van noten, fall

by Jeremy Danté

clean design lines & phenomonal details ruled the FW11 menswear collection presented by dries van noten. use of sliced geometric color blocks were seen beautifully incorporated on the collections pants as two-toned wool coats walked alongside looks that were restricted to black, white & neutral tones. though simple at first glance, the collection pay impossibly large attention to many creative details with each look in the collection. beautiful use of fur as well as texture were a focus of the menswear collection, with a few multi-toned knitwear as well as embroidery on the final look. overall, the collection is impressive in a less obvious, more technical manner. a strong direction is felt in a quite & thoughtful manner.
