fall collections, new york: jenni kayne

by Jeremy Danté

feminine glamour with restrained interpretation was seen from the jenni kane label this fall. presented on the runways of new york fashion week, the jenni kane took to fall with chic use of satin equipped with a bold palette of blue, fuschia, mustard yellow & bouts of grey, brown & flesh tones as well. while the seems in many ways more spring, referring to the collections hemlines on a few of the looks- it’s soft & feminine which is always an existing market in fashion. knitwear was seen alongside slices of metallic undertones, which were seen in few of the collections looks throughout. though nothing spectacular is seen, the collection could easily work it’s way into any existing wardrobe. solid but though nothing earth shattering. as a designer, jenni herself hails from california & the ease of her roots is felt in design. it’s effortless & understated. would’ve like to see more creativity flexed with the concepts & choice textiles. overall, the collection is likeable.
