fall collections, new york: tim hamilton

by Jeremy Danté

revealed presentation style yesterday, the FW11 tim hamilton is one of creative recreation & thoughtful concepts. in a combined presentation of both menswear & womenswear, i really loved that the collection took classical aspects of design & flipped them. even the collections use of knitwear showcased a progressive approach. i love the collection, as a whole, both menswear & womenswear completely. i greatly admire any designer who is able to take something so familiar & reinvent to another level. from bold use of color to the use of prints, a wide range of silhouettes, design & unending creativity were presented with this collection & i am truly in love with this entire collection. personally, i would wear every menswear piece within this collection. an inspiring collection presented for the fall,  with tremendous style & fearless direction. it’s wild, but restrained & hard to put into words- an astounding vision is seen with this set & a complete collision of classical & progressive is seen. my favorite collection of new york fashion week, thus far. beautifully executed & thoughtfully concieved.
