fall collections, london: david koma

by Jeremy Danté

predominantly black designs with futuristic details were presented in london by david koma. revealed on the runways of london fashion week, i admired the direction taken & the bold choice in concepts for this season. as many other collections in both new york & london have demonstrated, bold contrasts will be a large trend come fall/winter later this year. in an effort to represent that trend, the koma fall womenswear collection presented a range of looks accented by multi-colored shot of fur slight use of screened print. while some concepts come off as cheap more than they do innovative, the direction & overall power of the collection, regarding style, was well developed & greatly translated. leather & construction methods were seen in the collection which added to the fashion forward value of this set.
