editorialesque » sessilee lopez for elle sweden

shot by marcus ohlsson, the always amazing, sessilee lopez appears for the pages of elle sweden. represented by supreme models, lopez appears in bold tones & gucci accessories throughout the spread. one thing i’ve always loved of sessilee is her bone structure;  i remember seeing her for the first time in italian vogue & was just staring at the face thinking, ‘who is that girl?’. born in philidelphia & of dominican & portugese ethnicity, sessilee bum rushed the fashion scene in 2004 when she moved to new york to pursue a career in modeling. that year proved to be powerful for lopez, ultimately seeing her land a fragrance contract for CK, appear for a david sims shot campaign for bennetton & runway castings for zac posen, emporio armani, karl lagerfeld & vivienne westwood. in 2005, steven meisel photographed sessilee for italian vogue, which earned her a solo cover within a series that was shared with model icons liya kebede & naomi campbell. from there sessilee’s future as a cover girl was solidified & she continues to be one of the most unforgettable faces working in fashion today. with her recent agency hop from major models to supreme, im already noticing a larger presence of sessilee & am loving every minute of it. here she demonstrates her skill of photographic performance. you might have also noticed that sessilee is plastered all over H&M locations ’round the globe as their face for spring. as one of my favorite girls in the game- sessilee slays editorial.
