spring collections: giles, london

with an interesting & almost comical use of print, the giles collection presented during london fashion week was also one of epic model cast. with alessandra ambrosio, chanel iman, jeneil williams, coco rocha & agyness deyn all appearing the collection grew more tame as the collection progressed. while camp in concept, many of the clothes were a direct representation of the SS11 season style reference of the 70’s. retro elements were seen in some of the collection cuts, but print took center stage in the set this season. overall, strong direction, interesting concepts & powerful model cast.

agyness deyn for love, september

represented by women model management, agyness deyn also lands a cover within the september issue cover series for katie grand’s love magazine, issue no.4. labeled as the rebel, agyness deyn takes her role one step further, appearing on the cover of the september issue with an earl piercing. as a contrasted image of hard & soft, agyness displays delicate features & a rockstar attitude against pale pastels for the cover. shot by mert + marcus, agyness joins, lauren hutton, rosie huntington whiteley, alessandra ambrosio & sienna miller as september cover girls. over time, agyness has become much more edgy season after season. you might recognize her from her extensive campaign work with burberry & her number of high end editorial bookings.

editorialesque » daphne, jamie + agyness for vogue italia

daphne guinness, agyness deyn & jamie bochert appeared on the cover & editorially for the february issue of vogue italia. shot by steven meisel, all are represented by women model management & showcase some of the most inspiring black & white images i’ve seen. daphne is the most interesting in the bunch, as her personal style & social status are as impossible to ignore as her photographic presence. while jamie & agyness have made considerable distinctions of who they are in model, the cast is a powerful set making a loud statement. watch out for these chicks in 2010.

agyness, daphne + jamie for italian vogue

what yo’ name iz? jamie bochert, daphne guinness, agyness deyn

representing individualism & women model management, agyness, jamie & daphne land the cover of the february issue for vogue italia. i love the large use of print & the choice to opt for a neutral masthead to enhance the “individuality” appeal. each female represents a singular approach to personal style. agyness has nearly trademarked her blonde pixie cut- pushing other female models to ‘man-up’ with her androgynous beauty. she trades in her signature hairstyle for a black bob for the cover. daphne is known for her platinum on black streeks & light eyes, only enhanced by her dark eye make-up- while jamie hold incredible model distinction with her bone structure & angular features. i love the cover & love even more what it represents. all three are represented by women model mangement, cover shot by steven meisel.

editorialesque » supermodels take on twitter.com

what yo’ name iz? agyness deyn, linda evangelista, anna selezneva, freja beha erichsen,
viktoriya sasonkina, kristen mcmenamy, sessilee lopez, hanne gaby, kasia struss, gisele bundchen,
lara stone, karen elson, karlie kloss, naomi campbell, jamie bochert, abbey lee kershaw,
sasha pivovarova, christy turlington, natalia vodianova, natasha poly

though the cover is the worst i’ve seen, the editorial model casting shits on anything i have ever seen for a while in fashion publications. the cast is completely untoppable. every model that is a supermodel appears for the meisel created spread. though the creative juice is, for the most part, absent from this concept- the models make up for any lacking elements. this set of chicks is fuckn devastation to the model game. how can anyone top this- real shit, its ill. i posted increments of this edit but wanted to post the full editorial- i mean, how could i not? these are the top females in the game & some are legends. fuxwidit!
