fall shwpckg: next models, new york

as a progressive agency representing the best of the best for the future of high end fashion, next models ny has unleashed some of the baddest chicks in the game since they opened their doors in 1989. with 15 top ranked females sitting pretty on the agencies women’s board, these girls pack a powerful punch on the runways. anja rubik, karlie kloss, abbey lee, catherine mcneil, tatiana cotliar, shu pei, kendra spears, hailey clauson & zuana bijoch are names we’ve seen plastered on billboards, walking the runway for dior, chanel campaigns left & right- but the true star of this year is arizona muse. she has had an incredible rise landing a YSL campaign & italian vogue one month in to 2011. no dobut in my mind she will be one to watch on the runway along with our usual slayers karlie kloss, anja rubik & abbey lee. im also expecting big things on the runway & beyond for ms. shu pei, who recently booked the SS11 vera wang campaign as well as the givenchy couture presentation.

fall shwpckg: new york model men, new york

with expected bookings from known faces matthias lauridsen, thiago santos & ty oagunkoya; admittedly, i am not as familiar with the men of new york models as much as other new york based agencies. while i’ve seen images of mark westinghouse floating around the fashion blogosphere, robbie wadge has appeared for bennetton, barney’s & burberry’s golf campaign in the past, charlie france is right there with wadge appearing for burberry through look books & campaigns while sweden’s alexander johansson appeared alongside lara stone for the CK SS11 campaign. lucas mascarini has appeared for lacoste, as well as editorial spots with hercules, italian GQ & german GQ style. while many of the faces fit the bill for high end markets, none are particularly outstanding aside from thiago, ty & mathias. we’ll see who books which shows for the fall season.

elite models holds true to their name in representing some of the baddest females in fashion. you know alessandra ambrosio from victoria’s secret, dree hemingway from international editorial bookings & ana beatriz barros, caroline brasch-nielsen & bette adewole should ring a bell as each of them has appeared here in the last year. i was surprised to see alice burdeau on the elite women’s board this season; for those who aren’t up on game, alice was the first winner of australia’s next top model & has had exceptional success booking campaigns & editorial like a veteran her first season in the game. i’ve always admired alice for her high end look & have wondered of her whereabouts after not seeing her for what seemed like a few seasons. as one of the top agencies in new york, im looking forward to seeing who books which shows; especially alessandra.

fall shwpckg: click model men, new york

click model management has housed few known faces in the world of male modeling for quite sometime. male models jonathan marquez, parker gregory, emil dostovic & chris fawcett, all of which are represented by click, have been seen in commercial & high end bookings in the past two years.  founded in 1980, click models has offices all over the united states & was once the modeling agency which represented whitney houston during her modeling career. while the men’s board of click is noticeably different with the absence of superstar model, garrett neff, whom has switched to wilhelmina for new york representation, the men presented this season are sure to make some noise on the runways of new york fashion week. jeff kline, matthew leeb, brandon christopher, peter miller & marcus vanmeurs are also male models i have my eye on this season.
