fall collezioni, milan: bally

a dark palette with additions of bold contrast were seen in the bally fall collection, much like many other collections this season. filled with statement coats & feminine dresses, the FW11 bally collection was presented off runway this season & is seen through look book images. overall, the collection showcases a cohesive theme from look to look though nothing spectacular is seen. all trends of the fall are represented; slight use of print with slices of red & yellow were seen, while modernized silhouettes with classical appeal were the foundation this season. hoping to see more creative developments for spring.

fall collections, new york: the row

as one of the strongest design labels to surface on the american fashion scene, the row is a collection of incredibly large influence & the olsen’s have more than exceeded any expectation anyone has had for their design ventures of the past five years. decked in lavish furs & beautiful animal print, a combined presentation of stunning simplicity is well balanced with the collections use of exquisite & exotic design concepts. with a bit of influence from classic formal wear & 90’s trend, the row presents a beautiful collection this fall. a wide range of looks was presented in the form of multi-colored furs as clean lined dress designer were accented with lace & leather. from blazers with leather sleeves to the sky blue fur, the models walked the runway were made up with a dark lip that allowed the chic volume to be cranked to two more notches. i love see what the olsen’s will create next; they’ve remained in privacy & have really mastered the art of style & how to introduce & reinvent beautiful pieces with their own interesting twist. i love the animalistic concepts that are subtly introduced this season.

fall collections, new york: chris benz

revealed presentation style in new york city yesterday, the chris benz FW11 collection is one of charming concepts & vintage style notes. seen in this look book set, the surrounding elements of the actual photos of the collection incorporate a greater sense of design poetry. a marbelized cloth backdrop is seen loosely draped as the models stand atop couch cushions allowing elements seen in the collection to take on a bit of aged elegance. hats & print are two elements many of designers are pushing this season & those trends are seen here. expert styling of the collection creates a feeling of comfortablity & organic style. nothing is too forced or up tight- even in the use of fur, it’s very relaxed. well tailored suits are seen alongside floral gowns, soft blouses & fur coats as floppy hats provide a cherry on top, in terms of translating a vision. a wide range of looks are cohesively presented & i find the execution of the collection to the presented images as picture perfect. a strong collection.

H&M FW09 lookbook images

fresh on the heels of the massive announcement of the jimmy choo design collaboration comes these lookbook images. the collection seen for the swedish based retailer is for the brands in-store divided label, which is geared more towards a younger crowd. i love the styling of these images & the different silhouette. that thick braided scarf is the fuckn business, if any. these images were posted from the show room not too long ago. its great to see the pieces come to life. the pieces, seen above, can be expected to hit stores this fall.
