runway video: marios schwab fall collection

fall menswear, runway: kris van assche

kris van assche creatively directs the dior homme collections & also does his own namesake collection on the side. the images above are from his latest collection for the fall season of 2010. minimal, clean & chic- blue, black & grey with plaid; the collection is a clear translation of this season’s trends with the van assche spin of creativity. faultlessly chic.

pre-fall collections: givenchy

kept minimalistically chic, the givenchy pre-fall collection showcases an opposition from the brands spring prints. i love the layering of the different coats & the statement fur pieces. kept black & white with a few eggshell neutrals, the collection is strong in terms of construction & doesn’t rely on boisterous prints to stand out. the garments of this season stand alone as edges are kept square & resemble blocks of fashion; greys are layered with shots of green footwear. seeing a wealth of design in a pre-fall collection, as so, makes me that much more excited for the fall collection debut. ricardo tisci does it again.

pre-fall collections: alexander wang

alexander wang continues to showcase his love for minimalistic & effortless chic. the pre-fall 2010 collection from wang provides casual materials for women that seemingly hang onto the body. i love the construction, its an organized mess of sorts. the color palette is faultless.
