editorialesque » jonathan marquez for vogue hommes international

shot by willy vanderperre, jonathan marquez of click model management appears for the spring issue of vogue hommes international. titled, le cri, which translates to ‘the scream’; the editorial takes on cinematic likeness while marquez is seen in prada platformed sneakers, heavily embellished pants & givenchy leopard blazers throughout. the scream concept is well represented, as we see marquez in motion seemingly in the midst of a scream & body language that suggests unease, crazed captivity & torture- all in style of course. beautiful concept with strong execution of style. men’s editorial continues to slay.

matt norklun for vogue hommes international

matt norklun appears for the FW10 issue of vogue hommes international. landing the cover of the age issue, norklun was a model in the 80’s & has appeared for GQ as well as other commercial spots in the past. i love the cover & find it very interesting, the concept of age & how it affects men. for women, an impossible standard of perfection is weighed against them & men simply get better with time. with age comes wisdom & more secured forms of style in my book. i love the image for it’s fearlessness in capturing age. true style is weighed in allowing yourself to embrace age as a part of who you are. a great cover for fall.

kate moss for vogue hommes international

fashion publications are featuring classic supermodels, with the recent covers garnered by legends naomi campbell, cindy crawford & ms. kate moss. moss was shot by mario sorrenti for the spring/summer 2010 issue of vogue hommes international. paying homage to beach bodies & artistic nudes, kate shines like the star she is in the editorial set. on the cover, you get an herb ritts feel with the black & white image, i love the feature of the anonymous male model (mark vanderloo?). im not sure if fashion magazine’s are struggling to draw in readers but all of these icons being featured as of late has to be doing some good. i know myself & a few of my readers love to see faces they know; though fresh faces are nice, it can become overwhelmingly impossible to keep up with who is on their way in & who is on their way out in modeling. for now, lets just look at kate. like naomi campbell & fellow supermodel gisele, kate moss is also represented by IMG models.
