alessandra ambrosio for vogue méxico

megamodel in the making, alessandra ambrosio appears for the december issue of vogue méxico. seen through the lens of stewart shining, ambrosio is represented by elite models & has had an impressive year in high end editorial. for this cover, we see the expected image of what we know as alessandra ambrosio, the victoria’s secret angel; not a hair out of place, skin gleaming beautifully, a sexy slinky navy dress caressing brazilian curves- you know, commercial beauty. while i love the cover for it’s hardcore adherence to stereotypical glamour, i also celebrate the versatility that alessandra has shown for this year & much of last year. her editorial work with vogue nippon, giampalo sgura & sølve sundsbø were exceptionally impressive; as we seen elements of an overextended forms of beauty. with willy vanderperre & russian vogue, alessandra seduced us once more & she covered love magazine through the lens of mert + marcus adding a face to the title of, angel. with russh magazine she allowed fashion to transcend as art in body & i’ve grown to appreciate her skills immensely. topping off a great year, this cover leads her into the new year with a renewed sense of fashion respect in my book. i expect her to gain more high end fashion notoriety in the coming year. one of the baddest bitches outta brazil since gisele- alessandra is a bombshell.

gisele bündchen for vogue méxico

slaying in her return to the thrown as the top female icon of the modern supermodel age; gisele appears for the may cover of vogue mexico. shot by nino muñoz, gisele is represented by IMG models. though i love the whole military chic, im feeling slight redundancy; as gisele just appeared for vogue korea, also or the month of may, showcasing the same militant trend. i feel like another form of military style could’ve been referenced; camo isn’t all there is to the military trend. that said, gisele reigns supreme & has proved herself to be an undying iconic force in fashion. since her arrival on the model scene, she’s been the reason that model agents flocked to brazil in search of the next supermodel. she may very well be the last of the supermodel.
